You Teach 10 Subjects to the Same Kids. Your Curriculum Should Know That.
Elementary teachers don’t teach one subject. You teach math, reading, writing, science, social studies, health, PE, music, art, technology — and somehow you’re also the SEL coordinator, the conflict mediator, and the person who remembers which kid is allergic to latex.
But most curriculum resources treat each subject like it exists in isolation. You buy a math unit from one source, a science kit from another, download an SEL lesson from a third, and spend your Sunday night trying to stitch them into something that makes sense for your actual week.
The standards don’t help. CCSS for math and ELA. NGSS for science. C3 for social studies. SHAPE America for PE. ISTE for technology. CASEL for SEL. National Core Arts for music and visual arts. Eight different frameworks, eight different coding systems, eight different documents to cross-reference — and somehow you’re supposed to make sure you’ve covered all of them by June.
What if someone already did that work?
383 Lessons. 1,706 Standards. Every Subject. Every Grade. Done.
The Hero’s Journey Fusion Curriculum is a complete K-5 curriculum spanning 10 subjects, 42 curriculum blocks, and 383 cross-curricular fusion lessons — with 100% coverage of national K-5 standards.
Every lesson fuses two or three subjects together. Not artificially — the way real learning actually works. A kindergartner learning to count is also learning to move. A third grader studying weather patterns is also writing research reports and learning digital citizenship. A fifth grader designing solutions to community problems is doing science, math, health, and SEL at the same time — because that’s what problem-solving looks like in real life.
This isn’t a collection of individual lessons someone uploaded to a marketplace. It’s an intentional, architecturally designed curriculum where every lesson connects to the lessons around it, every block builds toward the next, and every grade tells a story.
The Journey: From “Who Am I?” to “I Am Ready to Lead”
Every child who walks into kindergarten is asking the same question: Who am I?
By the time they leave fifth grade, they should be able to answer a different one: I’m ready to lead.
The Hero’s Journey Fusion Curriculum follows that developmental arc across six years of elementary school. Each grade level has its own theme that reflects where students are in their growth — not just academically, but as people:
| Grade | Theme | Lessons | Standards | Blocks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kindergarten | “Who Am I?” | 46 | 257 | 6 |
| 1st Grade | “I Can Lead” | 61 | 270 | 7 |
| 2nd Grade | “I Can Explore” | 62 | 270 | 7 |
| 3rd Grade | “I Can Discover” | 70 | 303 | 7 |
| 4th Grade | “I Can Change My World” | 71 | 305 | 8 |
| 5th Grade | “I Am Ready to Lead” | 73 | 301 | 7 |
A kindergartner in the “Bodies in Motion” block is discovering how counting, movement, and healthy habits all connect — learning who they are through their own body. By fifth grade, that same student is in a capstone block designing real solutions, writing research, and encouraging others. The curriculum grows with the child.
What Cross-Curricular Fusion Actually Looks Like
Cross-curricular teaching isn’t new. Teachers have been finding connections between subjects for decades. What’s new is having an entire curriculum designed around those connections from the ground up.
Each curriculum block fuses two or three subjects into a coherent unit. Inside each block, lessons follow a developmental progression — from simple to complex — so students build skills and understanding across multiple subjects simultaneously.
Here’s what that looks like in practice. Kindergarten Block 3, “Rhythm & Rhyme,” fuses ELA, Music, and SEL:
- ELA standards covered: rhyming, syllables, onset-rime, phonemes, letter-sounds, vowels, print concepts, speaking and listening
- Music standards covered: beat, rhythm exploration, contrasts, generate ideas, feedback, expression, performance
- SEL standards covered: identify emotions, body signals, calming strategies, relationships, resilience, recognizing others’ feelings
A five-year-old clapping syllables is simultaneously learning phonemic awareness, musical rhythm, and emotional self-regulation. That’s not three separate lessons stitched together. That’s one lesson doing the work of three — because the learning naturally connects.
Every block in every grade works this way. Subjects complete at specific points across the journey, so by the end of the year, every standard for that grade has been taught. Not mentioned. Taught.
10 Subjects. 8 National Frameworks. One Curriculum.
The Hero’s Journey Fusion Curriculum covers all 10 core elementary subjects:
Math · English Language Arts · Science · Social Studies · Health Education · Physical Education · Music · Visual Arts · Technology · Social-Emotional Learning
Standards are drawn from eight national frameworks: CCSS (Math and ELA), NGSS, C3, National Core Arts (Music and Visual Arts), SHAPE America (PE), NHES (Health), ISTE (Technology), and CASEL (SEL).
1,706 individual standards. Every one of them mapped, assigned to lessons, and tracked. The Standards Tracker shows you exactly which standards you’ve covered, which are coming, and where you stand at any point in the year. You’ll never wonder whether you missed something.
Built From Supplies You Already Have
Every lesson in the curriculum was designed with the Supply Closet in mind. That means the activities, projects, and assessments use supplies that are already in your classroom — construction paper, crayons, chart paper, whiteboard markers, scissors, glue sticks.
No special kits to order. No manipulatives that cost more than your monthly coffee budget. No “materials needed” list that sends you to Amazon at 10 PM on a Sunday.
Your supplies. Our lessons. Zero additional cost.
How It Was Built
The Hero’s Journey Fusion Curriculum wasn’t generated by an algorithm and published without review. It was built through a collaboration between a 25-year veteran K-5 teacher and AI — a process we call AI-Fusion.
Every grade level was architecturally designed: themes chosen to match developmental stages, blocks structured around natural subject connections, lessons sequenced from simple to complex within each block. Standards were mapped first — then lessons were built to cover them completely. Not the other way around.
The result was verified by the Standards Tracker: 1,706 standards assigned, 1,706 standards covered. 100% coverage across all six grade levels.

A Starting Point, Not a Ceiling
The Hero’s Journey Fusion Curriculum is ready to teach today. Browse a grade level, open a block, pick a lesson, and teach it tomorrow.
But it’s also a foundation. Every lesson in the curriculum is a living document inside your Lesson Library — you can generate teaching tools, create assessments, and adapt lessons to your students. And because every lesson is tracked by the Standards Tracker, you always know where you stand.
You don’t have to use the whole curriculum. Use a single block to fill a gap in your existing program. Use one grade level for a year-long backbone. Use all six grade levels as a complete school-wide curriculum. It works however you need it to work.
And if you want to go further — you can build your own fusion curriculum. Name it. Own it. Track its standards coverage. The same tools that built the Hero’s Journey are available to every subscriber.

The Truth Test
Take any lesson description. Post it into ChatGPT, MagicSchool, or any AI tool you want. Then post the same description into our Lesson Builder. Compare the results — and then ask yourself:
Did it give you a lesson library to store what it created? Is it printable in a professional template you can use tomorrow? Does it provide three levels of differentiation automatically? Is it standards-aligned — and tracked on a chart so you can see your coverage? Can you override the supplies with what’s actually in your classroom? Can you tell it which standards to target across multiple subjects? Does it provide measurable student outcomes in assessment forms ranging from formative to summative? Does it write learning objectives from your fused subjects and connect those objectives to the assessments it built? Is it saved and printable whenever you need it again? Can you send it to Google Drive to share with your teaching team? Can you edit it in Google Docs and add pictures or create slideshows from it?
We can do all of that. And a lot more.
